Team
Ana is Tenure-Track Assistant Professor since October 2025. She completed her PhD at CICbiomaGUNE (Spain) in 2019 under the supervision of Prof. F. López Gallego. Then, she joined the group of Prof. F. Paradisi, initially at the University of Nottingham (UK) and later at the University of Bern (CH) funded by a SELF Postdoc Fellowship. Her postdoctoral research has been focused on flow biocatalysis and sustainable synthesis of pharmaceuticals. In 2022, she worked as project manager of an Innosuisse Innovation Project whith the goal to implement more cost-efficient heterogenous biocatalysts for industrial applications, until 2023 when she started her independent career as SNSF Ambizione Group Leader at ETH Zürich.

Manuel joined our group in June 2025. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Granada in 2018. Then, he joined the group of Prof. Salvador Tomas at Birkbeck, University of London (UK) as Associate Research Fellow. He obtained his Master's degree in Biotechnology at the University of Granada in 2021. Manuel has completed his PhD in Pharmacy in 2025 at the Institute of Parasitology and Biomedicine in Granada (Spain) in Dr. Morales-Sanchez's group. His PhD has been focused on the exploration of alternative targets and approaches for the development of new drugs for cancer and parasitic infections.
